To care for soft touch jumbo yarn (which is typically a polyester chenille blend),  wash the item in cold water  and air dry it flat or tumble dry on an air fluff setting (no heat). Avoid using fabric softeners or high heat, which can damage the fibers and cause pilling or matting. 

Washing Instructions

• Use cold water:  Hot/Warm water can damage the synthetic fibers.
• Choose a mild detergent: Use a small amount of mild, standard laundry detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach, which can strip the yarn's softness.
• Drying Instructions

• Air dry is recommended: Gently squeeze out excess water with your hands or roll the item in a clean, dry towel to absorb moisture. Lay it flat to air dry on a clean surface or drying rack, reshaping it as needed. This prevents stretching and maintains the item's shape and softness.
• Avoid high heat: If using a machine dryer is necessary, use the "air fluff" or "no heat" setting.
• Do not hang: Avoid hanging the item to dry, as the weight of the water can cause it to stretch out of shape. 

Maintenance Tips

• Handle gently: Jumbo yarn is often single-ply and can pull apart easily before it is worked into a tight project. Handle it gently during crafting to prevent breakage.
• Reshape while damp: While air drying, periodically reshape the item to ensure it maintains its original form and size.
• Remove pilling: If pilling occurs over time, use a fabric shaver or a pumice stone to gently remove the small fiber balls.
• Store properly: Store finished projects in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Folding the item is better than hanging it, which can cause stretching
